The hotel is centrally located, making it convenient for visiting my grandson at uni in Bristol. The rooms, while needing redecoration, were a bit warm during hot weather due to limited window opening. The service was excellent with a warm and friendly atmosphere, especially from the receptionist with yellow nail varnish. The dining experience offered good value for money but could have extended service hours. The location in quiet Berkeley Square was ideal for those seeking to be near the Clifton area of Bristol.

7.4/10
As a solo female traveler, the hotel was clean and comfortable, but I felt it was overpriced for what I got. The staff was incredibly miserable, possibly due to working on Christmas Day, but they were friendly and helpful overall. The location was nice, attached to the bar and easy enough to navigate, though not the best for those with mobility issues. The dining experience was excellent with a well-crafted vegetarian option, but a bit pricey for what it offered. The hotel had basic facilities in good condition.
Rooms
7.0
My room was clean and comfortable, but I found filthy windows and a long hair in the bath. It wasn't worth the £95.00 I paid; I felt it was overpriced by at least £30.00.
Service
7.0
Despite some initial neglect at check-in, the staff was friendly, presentable, and hardworking, making my stay more pleasant.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location in the Clifton area was nice, close to shops like Cabot Circus, but being in a hilly area might not suit everyone, especially those with mobility issues.
Dining
8.0
I enjoyed an excellent vegetarian meal with sweet potato waffle, open mushrooms, avocado puree, and a perfect poached egg. However, the dining area felt a bit informal and the prices were a tad high for what was offered.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were basic but well-maintained, offering what I needed for a comfortable stay.

6.4/10
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The room, with a Welsh Dresser converted to a mini kitchen, was spacious and comfortable, but it got unbearably hot with no control over the temperature. However, the price I paid was a fraction of what others seemed to have paid for their rooms.
Rooms
7.0
I found the room spacious and very comfortable, although it could use more hanging space.
Service
5.0
The bed arrangement was a bit tricky, and the coffee was only available by the cup through the waitress. During check-out, the staff handed me the receipt without addressing our issues promptly.
Location
6.0
The hotel is located in a lively central area, though it was difficult to operate due to a glass screen that couldn't be opened. The view over the Square was lovely, and being close to the heart of Clifton was convenient.
Dining
8.0
I did not have the chance to experience dining at the hotel, but I heard good things about the varied vegetarian options and the quality of the food served.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel had some facilities available, but nothing stood out as exceptional in terms of amenities.

7.2/10
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The location was lovely and convenient for exploring Clifton and the Uni areas, but some aspects left much to be desired. The rooms were in serious need of renovation, with stained carpet, faulty taps in the bathroom, and a disappointing lack of housekeeping service on Saturday. On the bright side, the staff were nice and helpful, and the dining experience was enjoyable. However, the hotel fell short of the luxury experience in several areas, including limited access to the restaurant and bar due to private events.
Rooms
5.0
The room I stayed in was definitely showing its age and needed some serious updates. Despite the hot temperature even with a fan, the stained carpet and sour milk were quite off-putting. The lack of housekeeping service on Saturday was disappointing.
Service
8.0
The hotel staff were really nice and helpful during my stay. They were attentive and friendly, making my time there more pleasant.
Location
7.0
The hotel's location on a lovely square was charming, and it was great for exploring Clifton and the University areas. However, the restricted access to the restaurant and bar during private events was a downside.
Dining
8.0
The dining experience at the hotel was a highlight for me. The range of cooked options and tasty yogurt drink made breakfast enjoyable, despite the inconvenience of ordering. French toasts were a personal favorite.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel provided basic facilities but didn't stand out with any outstanding amenities.
